Yesterday, 29th Feb, we had a very exciting day in green schools. We had some very important visitors come to the school to launch of the Toyota Project Great plant Hunt. Bríd Connelly, International Eco-Schools Director and Rachael Boyle, International LEAF Director travelled all the way from Denmark for the national launch of the project in our school. Ian Corbett, Marketing Manager of Toyota Ireland, who is sponsoring the project, also came to see the project in action.
The programme focuses on infant classes learning about common species of plants and animals. It will help us in achieving our next green flag for biodiversity. We were very excited this morning to see some photos taken yesterday appearing in the Irish Times gallery of the day! Check out Scott! What amazing pictures!
