Our green school’s committee are working really hard to teach everyone about biodiversity. 3rd, 4th and 5th classes were really lucky to have a visit from a biodiversity expert recently. His name was Leif Barry and all the classes loved learning about different animals and habitats. 2nd class put a bug hotel in the garden last week and we are looking forward to welcoming the guests! 3rd class also planted some bulbs and we can’t wait for them to grow.
Leif Barry, a scientist also came in to talk to us. We learned so much about insects around Ireland, and how important it is to protect them and their environments.
